Lady Gaga Concert

Sunday, 20 March 2011, 9pm

Lady Gaga Concert! The concert was fantastic and we all had a great time. Lucky we got tickets pretty early and were able to get front row seats. They were great and provided a great view of the whole show. The Scissor Sisters opened the show with a few songs. I managed to snap a few pictures and a fun video of the opening sequence before Lady Gaga actually showed up on stage. Enjoy.

Downtown Panoramic

Downtown Panoramic. One of the reasons why I decided to take Art 3090 was to force myself to get out and take photographs. Each week we have a different assignment to capture something using techniques that I don’t normally use or have much proficiency. Our last assignment was to do a photo-merge or panoramic image using at least five different photographs and then using those same images create a photo-montage using a dada inspired presentation. My panoramic was taken on top of the Regent Street Parking Garage facing south toward the Gallavan Center. It was late afternoon after a day of rain and lots of clouds. My second photograph was inspired by the Downtown Rising theme that is used to describe the construction and improvements to Salt Lake City’s downtown. Over the last few years I have been able to capture various buildings and included them in my photo-montage. Enjoy.

Sunset

Sunset. A few weeks ago I was running around on the hills behind the Utah Capitol trying to get pictures of the sunset. Although it was freezing and there was a cold breeze, I was able to capture a few photographs that I wanted to share. They aren’t super spectacular but still nice sunset photographs. Enjoy.
