Friday Cape Cod! I had a short day in the office and came home and cleaned the house and got the backyard ready for the weekend festivities. The place looks fantastic and I had music playing pretty loud during the afternoon. After all my efforts it was time to relax and enjoy my Absolut 100 Vodka with some cranberry juice. Enjoy.

Sunday Smoothies! After a great workout at the gym and all the work put into the garden, Charlie and I decided to make a tasty smoothie with some strawberries, oranges, bananas, and various juices. Yummy!

Raisin Chocolate Walnut Oatmeal Cookies! We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather today and we were able to get some things done and enjoy the clear sunny skies. We adapted the recipe from the Food Network via Ina (Barefoot Contessa): http://goo.gl/64X3w. We decided to make some cookies and I took a few pictures. Right as the cookies were coming out of the oven the news networks turned to some special announcement from the White House. Enjoy!

Ice Cream Cookie Cake. Back toward the end of May, we held a little get together at the house and Charlie decided to home make an Ice Cream Cookie Cake using his special Williams-Sonoma Sandwich Cookie Pans that he secretly purchased and hid somewhere in the house. Everything in the cake was home made including the vanilla ice cream. We probably should have left it in the freezer a little bit longer but that didn’t effect the taste at all. It was delicious. The cake was very rich and super delicious. Enjoy.

Charlie’s Birthday Party! We had a pretty fun party for Charlie out in Harriman. We had some fantastic food and lots of delicious drinks. We had our share of margaritas and martinis and Charlie was able to enjoy a bottle tequila. Unfortunately, he didn’t feel so hot the next morning. I have included some pictures of our festivities.

Molten Chocolate Ebelskivers! Charlie made dinner tonight and it was delicious. He made an oven roast with lots of vegetables and a super tasty sauce using his new pots and pans. He also got all the ingredients together and made some ebelskivers for dessert. They are like doughnut holes but with a filling. Normally we make a cinnamon brown sugar ebelskiver for breakfast and Charlie took it to the next level with some Molten Chocolate ebelskivers tonight.
