Winter at the University
Sunday, 6 March 2011, 6:03am
Winter at the University. While flipping through my collection of photographs I found this one that I had edited but never shared. I desaturated it and thoroughly love the the contrast and the effect. This was taken up on the north part of the University of Utah. Enjoy.
Sunset
Saturday, 5 March 2011, 4:05pm
Sunset. A few weeks ago I was running around on the hills behind the Utah Capitol trying to get pictures of the sunset. Although it was freezing and there was a cold breeze, I was able to capture a few photographs that I wanted to share. They aren’t super spectacular but still nice sunset photographs. Enjoy.
Snow Covered Tacoma
Saturday, 26 February 2011, 5:39pm
Snow Covered Tacoma. We have had a number of spring snow storms that drop a lot of snow but doesn’t really stick to the ground. I woke up early to shovel the snow from the walks and driveway but there was not much to clear. I decided to be adventurous and have my camera with me as I assessed the snowfall. Lots of snow on the truck and grass with little on the concrete. My photography class has been successful in getting me to bring my camera and think about taking pictures more frequently. Enjoy.
Winter at Red Butte Garden
Saturday, 22 January 2011, 6:57pm
Winter at Red Butte Garden. I signed up for photography class this semester to help me improve my photography skills and to help force me to get out and take more pictures. There are many tool and techniques that I have yet to learn and master which is part of the reason why I am taking this class. These are a few pictures that I took earlier today while I was visiting Red Butte Gardens. The garden is open year round and is probably one of my favorite places to photograph. Please feel free to leave a comment or critique. Enjoy.

Winter Mountains
Sunday, 2 January 2011, 7:38pm
Winter Mountains. Happy New Year. Although it has been below freezing for over a week now, the clouds have cleared away and the beautiful Utah mountains come out in all their glory. The mountains are just amazing. The other evening during sunset I was able to be on the west side of the valley to get a fantastic vantage point to see the the evening colors and mountains. Enjoy.
Driving Through Tahoe
Wednesday, 22 December 2010, 3:08pm
Driving Through Tahoe. Luckily I was able to take some time off during the holidays to drive to California to visit my family and friends. The weather is always unpredictable and the drive through the Sierras can cause delays. Luckily the weather was fantastic and the roads were dry and clear. The mountains and clouds made for a scenic afternoon and I probably should have stopped and taken some pictures with my Nikon D300 DSLR but I was excited to get home. Enjoy the pictures.
Colorful Tree

Colorful Tree. Every morning on my way to class I would pass a number of trees and there was one in particular that got very colorful as fall progressed. I took a number of pictures over two months and I thought I would share a few of them. Enjoy.

Taken with a Canon PowerShot SD780 IS.
Jackson Hole 2010: Black & Whites
Friday, 8 October 2010, 5:00am
Black & White Photographs of Teton National Park. I have posted many of my best photographs during our trip to Jackson Wyoming. Many of them show off the beautiful fall colors but I wanted to show how great they look in Black & White. My personal favorite is the road and clouds. Enjoy.
Jackson Hole 2010: Wildlife
Thursday, 7 October 2010, 5:00am
Wildlife at Teton National Park. During our adventures through Teton National Park, we came across a few animals that I was able to photograph. I was rather unprepared to photograph wildlife as I was only carrying my wide-angle lens and nothing telephoto. Luckily, I captured a few shots of a coyote, an elk and a moose. Next time I will be more prepared. Enjoy.
Jackson Hole 2010: Oxbow Bend
Wednesday, 6 October 2010, 5:00am
Oxbow Bend at Teton National Park. After visiting the north shore of Jackson Lake, we made our way back to OxBow Bend to watch the sunset. We were able to see a moose and enjoy some additional fall colors. Enjoy.
