Colorful Tree. Every morning on my way to class I would pass a number of trees and there was one in particular that got very colorful as fall progressed. I took a number of pictures over two months and I thought I would share a few of them. Enjoy.

Taken with a Canon PowerShot SD780 IS.
Portland & Seattle Trip
Sunday, 24 October 2010, 6:30pm
Portland & Seattle Trip. The University of Utah has a wonderful thing called Fall Break. Think of Spring Break but for the Fall Semester. This year Charlie and I decided to vacation in Oregon and Washington. We spent the first few days in Portland enjoying the sites and the great food and then made our way west to the coast. Spent a day or two heading north and eventually arrived in Seattle where we crashed for a few nights and saw more sites and enjoyed amazing food. Here are a few pictures from our trip:
Jackson Hole 2010: Black & Whites
Friday, 8 October 2010, 5:00am
Black & White Photographs of Teton National Park. I have posted many of my best photographs during our trip to Jackson Wyoming. Many of them show off the beautiful fall colors but I wanted to show how great they look in Black & White. My personal favorite is the road and clouds. Enjoy.
Jackson Hole 2010: Wildlife
Thursday, 7 October 2010, 5:00am
Wildlife at Teton National Park. During our adventures through Teton National Park, we came across a few animals that I was able to photograph. I was rather unprepared to photograph wildlife as I was only carrying my wide-angle lens and nothing telephoto. Luckily, I captured a few shots of a coyote, an elk and a moose. Next time I will be more prepared. Enjoy.
Jackson Hole 2010: Oxbow Bend
Wednesday, 6 October 2010, 5:00am
Oxbow Bend at Teton National Park. After visiting the north shore of Jackson Lake, we made our way back to OxBow Bend to watch the sunset. We were able to see a moose and enjoy some additional fall colors. Enjoy.
Jackson Hole 2010: Jackson Lake
Tuesday, 5 October 2010, 5:00am
Jackson Lake at Teton National Park. After spending some time at Jenny Lake, we made our way past Willow Flats Overlook and headed north toward Jackson Lake Overlook. It was beautiful with the trees, the lake and the sun. The sun was starting to set making for some wonderful photographs.
Jackson Hole 2010: Fall Colors
Monday, 4 October 2010, 5:00am
Fall Colors in Teton National Park. Just some additional fall color photographs taken from Willow Flats Overlook and up along the road toward Jackson Lake Overlook. It was getting later in the afternoon and some clouds were slowly rolling in from the North West making for some great photographs. Enjoy.
Jackson Hole 2010: Jenny Lake
Sunday, 3 October 2010, 8:40pm
Jenny Lake at Teton National Park. We spent some time on the south side of Jenny Lake and then went up to the north end and by the time we got there, the wind had calmed down and the lake was like glass. There is a scenic drive to get to the Jenny Lake Overlook. It was beautiful.
Jackson Hole 2010
Sunday, 3 October 2010, 8:02pm
Jackson Hole 2010. We decided to take a weekend trip up to Jackson, Wyoming and enjoy Teton National Park. I brought along my camera and was able to capture some great photographs and the beautiful fall colors. We left Friday afternoon and got into the Teton Village after 9pm and crashed for the night. Saturday was spent running around Teton National Park and capturing pictures. We watched the sunset at Oxbow Bend and went back into town. Sunday we enjoyed the sunrise and made our way back to Salt Lake.
I managed to take over 1000+ pictures and have many to share. I used my Nikon D300 and my AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens for most of the photographs. My Canon SD780 IS captured a few. The tripod was used for a majority of the shots. The photographs were prepared using Aperture 3. I used Photomatix Pro for the HDR picture. Enjoy the pictures. There are many more coming…

Right after entering Teton National Park from the south entrance.

Looking through the trees near Jenny Lake.

Decided to have a little fun with HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography.
Fall Colors
Sunday, 26 September 2010, 10:32pm
Fall Colors. We decided to go for a drive this afternoon up Big Cottonwood Canyon and I brought along the camera. It has been a few weeks since I broke out the Nikon D300 and I was struggling a little to compose and capture some images tonight. I didn’t use my tripod and was running around without much patience to really grab a great shot. The drive was really nice. The weather was fantastic and the colors are beautiful. Enjoy.
